The College of Media at the University of Baghdad, has hosted the regular meeting of the Council for Improving the Quality of Education for Media Colleges in Iraq that was held under the chairmanship of the assistant dean for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies, Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar al-Shammari, and the membership of representatives of media colleges and departments in all Iraqi universities. The participants discussed the final version of the national standards, which will be the basis for opening media departments and colleges in Iraq, whether governmental or private, as they will be submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to be approved by His Excellency the Minister Dr. Naim al-Aboudi. The criteria included a discussion of the approved curricula and controls for e-governance and management, as well as the standards related to leadership, scientific research and community service.
