The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has organized a panel discussion entitled (The Impact of Media on Women and Society) via the virtual Google Meet service and in the presence of a number of professors, undergraduate and postgraduate students aimed to work to eliminate the media that offends women and its effects on society and the family.

The panel discussion included several topics, the most important of which is that concerned with eliminating the injustice of women in the Iraqi media and presenting an opposite image of Iraqi women. The researchers recommended that it is necessary to develop an initial media strategy for the Iraqi audio-visual media to enhance the image of women in society, and there must be control over everything broadcast about women in series and movies, in order to suit their current situation as well as increasing programs that clarify the positive role of women because what is presented in the media is only a mirror reflecting the civilization and culture of society and that the image presented by women is only an expression of the trends of members of society to which one belongs to and dhow to deal with children in an interactive and reciprocal relationship.
