The National Council for Accreditation of Nursing Programs in Iraq, in cooperation with the deanship has organized a ceremony to launch the national standards for the accreditation of nursing programs in Iraq, in the presence of the assistant president of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Hussein, Prof. Dr. Rajiha Al-Hassan Hamza, Chairman of the National Council for Accreditation of Nursing Programs in Iraq, the deans of the Iraqi colleges of nursing, and a large gathering of specialized professors at the University of Baghdad.

The ceremony included a speech delivered by the dean of the college of nursing, Prof. Dr. Huda Baqir Hassan, who talked about the adoption of nursing curriculum standards in Iraq and their adoption in conformity with the standards of nursing curricula in sober international colleges in the United States of America and matching the standards of nursing curricula adopted in reputable international universities. With the efforts of the professors of the Iraqi nursing colleges in completing and matching all standards for the accreditation of international nursing programs, which in turn raise the scientific level, improve the quality of graduates and provide the best nursing services and care to the community, the vision of nursing colleges in the labor market to provide the best comprehensive nursing care for the individual and society.

The ceremony even included a speech delivered by the president of the Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Prof. Dr. Salah Hadi al-Fatlawi at the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. This ministry’s endeavor seeks to adopt curriculum standards and match them with the standards of sober international curricula to raise the sobriety of Iraqi universities, compete with sober international universities, achieve the quality of education and improve the quality of graduates, serve by providing the labor market with qualified graduates to serve the community and our beloved Iraq in conformity with international nursing curriculum standards, upgrading the scientific level and competing with sober international universities.
