The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, has organized a workshop for the students of the initial stages entitled (Future prospects of the department of banking and financial sciences and its importance in the labor market) presented by the head of the department, Dr. Hanan Suhbat Abdullah, Dr. Basim Khamis Obaid and Dr. Areej Saad Hassan.
The workshop aimed to guide students and introduce them to the importance of specialization in financial and banking sciences in the labor market at present since the department seeks to provide the labor market with scientifically and practically prepared cadres and guiding them to adhere to the behavioral aspects that reflect the prevailing culture of the University of Baghdad in general and the College of Administration and Economics in particular. The lecturers confirmed that the study of financial and banking sciences has gained importance at the present time due to the spread of self-employment and the need of the labor market for qualified graduates in the administrative and banking fields, a field of study that aims to provide students with the professional academic knowledge necessary to work in the financial, administrative and banking sectors and qualify students to work in stock trading companies, stock exchange companies and international financial markets, which increases the importance of this study and its prevalence among students due to the multiplicity and importance of the fields of work provided by the study.
