The Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Women, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop entitled: “Smart foods that enhance the child’s intellectual and mental abilities”, delivered by Assist. Prof. Nadia Hussein Mankhi attended by a group of professors, employees and students. The workshop aimed to identify the varieties of smart foods that increase the child’s memory, expand his mental abilities, and educate mothers on how to increase his innate intelligence through a healthy and balanced diet. The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the need to pay attention to the quality of food provided to the child by eating nutritious and healthy foods and avoiding foods that have no value to provide the child’s brain with the important nutrients it needs to achieve optimal mental development.
