A number of the professors of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad have participated in the first Um AbIha Festival sponsored by the General Secretariat of the Kadhimiya Holy Shrine, on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), under the slogan (Lady Fatima Al-Zahra peace be upon her: the lady of chastity and hijab) to honor more than 2000 university students who wear the Zainabiya hijab.

The participation was represented in the presence of Dr. Yusra Chalob, director of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences along with a large number of distinguished college students. This event witnessed a distinguished presence of the Board of Directors of the Kadhimiya Shrine, the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir al-Saadi. Prof. Dr. Niema Dahash Farhan, the dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, has pointed out that “what the Kadhimiya shrine is doing today is a completion of several steps that have been taken in order to spread the culture of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and it is always keen to activate cultural programs and literary evenings that would contribute to the consolidation of this culture in the hearts of young people and that the College of Islamic Sciences is always keen to activate programs aimed at serving communities with the thought of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), stressing the need to communicate with the students.
