The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, in cooperation and coordination with a delegation from the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Baghdad / Rusafa, has organized an awareness lecture on (Bullying and its relationship to self-development) that was delivered by the human development trainer, Mr. Mustafa Muhammad Hammoudi, Mrs. Maryam Tariq and Mrs. Athraa Karim, under the auspices and supervision of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh.

The first research was presented by Mr. Mustafa Muhammad who has explained the concept of bullying which is a way used to control others, or it is a continuous physical or verbal harassment between two people who are different in strength, in which the stronger person uses physical, psychological, emotional and verbal methods to humiliate the other so as embarrass and oppress him, where the types of bullying can be divided into physical, verbal, sexual, emotional and psychological bullying, as well as bullying in social relationships and property. He also pointed to self-esteem, which is a judgment adopted by the individual for himself and the degree of confidence in his/her ability, excellence, success and value in general, and it reflects a trend towards the self either to be positive or negative self-acceptance, adding that one of its influential factors is subjectivity that is represented by personal characteristics and qualities, social factors represented by the circumstances surrounding the individual and that affect his personal or professional life.
