Assist. Prof. Dr. Saba Hussein, a lecturer from the Department of Policies and Legislation at the Center for Women’s Studies, has participated in an electronic workshop sponsored by the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra, entitled (Domestic violence and its impact on Arab societies). She refereed in her research paper to the concept of domestic violence and its repercussions on the Iraqi society, with the diagnosis of the most important reasons that led to the high rate of violence, with special reference to the need to develop laws that provide social security for the family and seek to achieve a common culture on the forms of violence and its psychological and social impact on people.
