The Natural History Center and Museum at the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop entitled (Women and their Role in Combating Bullying in the Society) represented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Hana Hani al-Saffar, Assist. Prof. Dr. Khansaa Rashid Majeed and Assist. Lecturer Noor Hussein Youssef. They stated that bullying is one of the forms of violence practiced by children, adults or a group of people against others for annoying them in a deliberate and repeated manner, adding that bullying may take many forms, such as spreading rumors, threatening, physically or verbally attacking the bullied child, isolating a child with the intention of harming him or by other unnoticed actions. They stressed that the role of women is great at the educational institutions in avoiding bullying cases by reading, sharing awareness content among colleagues to shed light on its consequences as well as creating an atmosphere of warmth and positive attention, integrating with students in the classroom and not allowing children to be present alone without adult supervision anywhere in the school, monitoring children who are most vulnerable to bullying, such as new children.
