The Department of Physics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, held a training workshop entitled: “The curriculum and tasks of the scientific committee at the department of physics” in the presence of a number of students, researchers and those concerned with this topic.

The workshop aimed to explain the mechanism of the proposed research proposal forms, their implementation and follow-up, the percentages related to the general specializations, and the amendment of curricula in addition and deletion from them and according to the percentage specified in the instructions and deciding on them. The lectures were delivered by a number of professors, including a review of the mechanism for implementing and following-up the proposed research plan, as well as scientific promotions, patents, curricula and vocabulary adopted at the department for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The professors discussed how to submit applications related to the work of the committee, number of courses in each semester and the recommendations of the department’s council to approve the proposals for research projects after evaluating and reviewing them so as to serve the community, consider the possibility of holding scientific conferences, seminars and workshops of the tasks and duties related to the scientific committee.
