The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy has organized a workshop at the Industrial Research and Development Authority of the Veterinary Medicines Research and Production Center, entitled (Preparation and Manufacture of Vials and Sterile Liquid Injectables) delivered by the lecturer Dr. Lubna Abdul Karim Sabri) from the Pharmaceutics Branch.

The workshop aimed to introduce sterilization methods and how to evaluate their effectiveness and choosing the most appropriate ones according to the Guidelines of the European Medical Agency, in addition to identifying the requirements of the General and Private Medicines Constitution for sterile medicines, including (injections, intravenous solutions, concentrated injections, powder, gels and sterile products that are put on under the skin). The lecturer also dealt with the methods of preparing and synthesizing sterile products and how to identify liquids that can be added to improve the quality of the pharmaceutical product. It also included the different methods and places of injection of animals and the presentation of their characteristics, including intravenous, muscle, subcutaneous, abdominal, dermis or dorsal cord injection.
