The Computer Department at the College of Education for Women, has organized a scientific trip for the students of the fourth grade to the “Information Technology Department” at the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under direct supervision of the professors of department at an invitation of Dr. Afrah Loay Muhammad Rashid.
The visit aimed to acquaint students with the equipment used at the Information Technology Department including software, networks and Cisco Systems and introducing them to the most important services provided by the department that are very essential for achieving vital tasks that affect the work of the ministry of higher education and other state departments. Then a lecture was given to provide a full explanation of the concepts of e-government and e-governance and the difference between them, as well as the need to organize some important courses in this regard, including granting internationally recognized certificates in the field of advanced computer applications.
