The Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, has organized a virtual workshop entitled “Types of Cloud Models in AWS” with the participation of a number of students, researchers and those concerned with computer software and information technology.

The workshop aimed to highlight what cloud computing provides developers and IT departments with the ability to focus on what matters most and avoid undifferentiated work such as procurement, maintenance, and capacity planning by discussing cloud models and specific related Amazon Web Services (AWS). The workshop was presented by Dr. Emad Jassim Mohammed who talked about the growing use of cloud computing technologies for providing many different models and that provides on-demand cloud computing platform strategies to individuals, companies, etc. so as to meet the specific needs of different users, stressing that each type of cloud services provides different levels of control, flexibility and management, indicating the possibility of helping to understand the differences between infrastructure, platform, and software as a service in determining the appropriate set of services or needs.
