The Department of Physics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, has organized a training course entitled an “Introduction to Arduino card” in the presence of a number of students, professors and those concerned with physics and computer disciplines. The course aimed to train participants on the methods of linking this electronic card, its programming, components, its micro-controllers used as an integrated development environment (IDE).

The course was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Alwan Hamza and Dr. Falah Hassan Ali who addressed the basics of electronics, an overview of the electrical connections of the microcontroller, the logical sequence of programming on the Arduino, and the exploration of useful and necessary basic programs such as Blink, AnalogReadSerial and DigitalReadSerial, reviewing what is meant by sensors, providing some examples of them, as well as configuring and using digital and analog inputs, stressing what are the output devices and examples of them, with a practical application of some of these devices. The two researchers recommended the need for preparing an integrated laboratory of electronic and computer supplies to assist students and professors to focus more on the practical application of electronic devices.
