Prof. Wedad Kazem, Prof. Iqbal Abdul Hussain Prof. Nihad Mohammed, Prof. Nada Abdul Salam, Assist. Prof. Dr. Saja Shuker and Assist. Lecturer Saja Khaled who are handball professors from the Team Games Branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women has organized a training workshop for the students of the undergraduate studies entitled (Modern Amendments to the Handball Law) with the aim to introduce the most important amendments to the handball law and its new applications, and to work on amending training plans for the sake of enhancing the skills of players.

The workshop includes three lectures: the first was delivered by Prof. Dr. Iqbal Abdul Hussein on the (Recent amendments to the handball law: rules and laws for the dimensions of the stadium), while the second lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Widad Kazem entitled (Amendments to the Handball Law 2016), in addition to a lecture delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Saja Shukr entitled (Amendments of the goalkeeper’s law as a player), while the third lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Nihad Muhammad entitled (The concept of passive play). It was concluded by presenting a set of recommendations, the most important of which is to make the latest updates available to specialists in this game, prepare referees of both sexes, through the establishment of intensive courses so as to select new referees qualified to apply the modern laws of handball.
