The Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the College of Pharmacy held an electronic workshop entitled (Academic Accreditation Programs and their Impact on the Level of Pharmaceutical Education), delivered by Prof. Dr. Fadi al-Khatib, an expert in evaluating and developing study programs, designing and developing curricula and the associate dean for academic affairs and assessment at the South College School of Pharmacy in the United States of America.

It is noteworthy that academic accreditation represents a contemporary development trend represented by granting the educational program a description and status indicating that the program meets the requirements of quality standards set by the donor and agreed upon in their entirety by educational evaluation institutions. The workshop included a definition of the concept of accreditation, a presentation of the types of accreditation in educational institutions, the most prominent local, Arab and international accreditation bodies, and the foundations of evaluating educational programs in general and pharmaceutical education in particular. The workshop aimed to develop a culture of quality in education and demonstrate its impact on the development of the educational process and its outputs.
