The Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Women, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop entitled “Wearable Technology as a Digital Revolution in the World of Smart Clothing”, in which the lecturer Yousra Shaker Mohammed and was attended by a group of professors, employees and students.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the techniques used in smart clothes and ways to use them, clarify the importance of using smart materials and their various technologies in life fields, and identify smart clothing varieties. The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which is to encourage the trend of using smart materials and clothes due to their importance in the fields of life, especially the medical field, and to conduct surveys to compare between Arab countries and developed international countries in the extent of their trend, adoption and consumption of smart clothes, with the need for the availability of smart materials that are useful for conducting experimental research on them in all academic disciplines.
