The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad has organized a symposium on (Peroxyreduxin) presented by Prof. Dr. Iman Ali al-Rubaie in the presence of a number of faculty members at the college. The seminar aimed to inform the participants about an important scientific discovery of protein molecules Peroxiredoxins, their types, structure and functions, that are a ubiquitous family of antioxidant enzymes that also control cytokine-induced peroxide levels and thereby mediate signal transduction in mammalian cells, in addition to clarifying the role of proteins in the types of cancer diseases and the mechanisms of different roles.
