Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, the rector of the University of Baghdad, has received the delegation of the French Embassy at the College of Languages in his capacity as the dean of the college to discuss the reality of teaching the French language there and ways to develop learning in accordance with advanced teaching methods and the role of the French side in enhancing and supporting the scientific and cultural cooperation between the two parties.
This visit comes in accordance with the framework of cooperation and cultural exchange between the University of Baghdad and the French Embassy to open the prospects of cooperation and development of the reality of the French language in the college and move forward to activate them by undergraduate and postgraduate studies. For its part, the deanship was keen to open new horizons in this regard to support the college of languages with scientific expertise as well as to open horizons of providing scholarship to Iraqi students in France and engaging them in such scientific activities during the summer vacation where the French delegation was briefed on the level of students’ performance, their linguistic potential and the role of professors in developing students’ language skills.
