The Scientific Committee of the Field Sports Arena at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences has organized a scientific lecture entitled (the compound decathlon competitions for males and heptathlon for females) with the participation of the fourth-grade students, delivered by Prof. Dr. Haider Faiq, Prof. Dr. Intisar Rashid, Prof. Dr. Zaidoun Jawad and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Sadiq.

According to the lecturers, the Decathlon is a special combined event in athletics for men consisting of ten track and field events, equivalent to the women’s heptathlon that is held over two consecutive days. It consists of 10 different events, where points are distributed to each athlete according to their ranking in each event, points are collected to put the final ranking after the last competition, and the winning player is the one who collects more points.
