The College of Education for Pure Sciences (Ibn Al-Haitham) at the University of Baghdad has hosted a delegation of some gifted high school students in a scientific visit to the laboratories of the scientific departments, where they were received by the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Firas Abdul Hamid Abdul Latif, and the head of the Department of Physics, Assist. Prof. Dr. Samira Ahmed Ibrahim.
The guests attended some scientific experiments conducted at the atomic laboratory for undergraduate studies, the light and optics laboratory, and the laboratory of devices and means of illustration. It is noteworthy that these scientific trips are carried out by schools with the aim to activate the role of the university in scientific and educational cooperation with community institutions and to enhance the educational expertise of teachers in this regard.
