The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts has organized a field visit for the fourth-grade students of undergraduate studies in the Social Service Branch to Al-Noor Institute for People with Visual Impairment.

The visit aimed to see the most important services provided by the institute to the beneficiaries through shedding light on the most important roles played by the social worker with the blind students. Then the experts talked about the Braille writing system used by people who are visually impaired, including people who are blind, deafblind or with low vision. The students were provided with information about the mechanism of reading and writing at the institute and attended a number of educational sessions and various recreational and musical activities, such as reading, writing, the use of computer as well as how to print educational manuals in Braille.
