Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim al-Qazzaz, the dean of the college of science at the University of Baghdad, has participated in the volunteering student campaign for afforestation, which was organized by the Educational Guidance Committee with the participation of the third-grade students at the Department of Chemistry.
The campaign, which was entitled “Manar .. we are waiting for you”, is intended to express solidarity with the third-grade student “Manar Khaled” who was subjected to an unfortunate car accident on the campus of the University of Baghdad, so the students wanted to show solidarity, support and continuous daily follow-up, in commitment to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the presidency of the University of Baghdad. It is noteworthy that the assistant dean for scientific affairs Prof. Dr. Khaled Jaber Kazim, and the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nada al-Abidi, have participated in this event for planting seedlings of palms and flowers in the main green courtyard of the department. The faculty members and the students praying for Manar that God bless her with health soon to join them again.
