Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim al-Qazzaz, the dean of the college of science at the University of Baghdad, has exchanged talks with a delegation of the Iraqi High Commission For Human Rights (IHCHR) the ways to improve the curriculum for human rights subject and the way towards democracy so as to promote this concept among the students of the college in its various disciplines.

The meeting aimed at a comprehensive review of the curricula of human rights taught in Iraqi universities and the need to coordinate efforts between the concerned authorities to promote the concept of human rights among university students by teaching this subject in a practical manner, and preparing programs and plans to achieve leadership in this field in line with international standards, including forms of violence against women, cases of electronic extortion, combating addiction, drugs and human trafficking. The director of the human rights unit, Ansam Faeq al-Obaidi, presented in the meeting, the most important subjects of the human rights curriculum in colleges, by submitting proposals in order to promote this culture among the students, and everything that would contribute to the development of teaching this topic in the Iraqi community.
