The head of the Department of Commodity Evaluation and Service Performance at the Market Research and Consumer Protection Center at the University of Baghdad, Assist. Prof. Nibras Muhammad Abdul Rasool, has participated in the meeting of the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC) sponsored by the Standards Department of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC). Then the engineer Majida Sayyar Hark, the director of the Engineering Standards Division and the Rapporteur of the Iraqi Electrotechnical Committee (IEC) talked about the establishment of IEC, its membership, types of publications, conformity assessment as well as discussing the drafts of the committee.
