A group of the professors of pharmacy have organized a voluntary awareness campaign on the dangers of obesity and its relationship to pressure and diabetes diseases in the Bab Al-Muadham Colleges Complex in which a number of fourth-grade students have participated in with a student volunteering team. The campaign included addressing several topics, most notably measuring pressure, sugar, height and ideal weight, awareness about health and nutritional practices that should be followed so as to maintain a healthy weight, in addition to distributing awareness leaflets about the dangers of excess weight and its relationship to chronic diseases. The lecturers pointed to the important role of these campaigns in spreading health awareness and introducing the factors causing pressure and diabetes and the associated symptoms and how to prevent the occurrence of complications of any diseases within the voluntary work directed towards medical advice.
