Dr. Warqa Muhammad Rahim, a professor from the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad has published a research paper entitled (Cyber terrorism and its impact on national security) in an international journal listed in Scopus database. The study discussed the great development that has occurred in the field of technology at the present and the information revolution, through which has become the whole world became a small village, also referring to the huge amount of positives for this development, but it has even led to the emergence of many negatives, and the most prominent of those negatives is the emergence of so-called electronic terrorism or digital terrorism, adding that although the electronic terrorism is a relatively recent crime, but it has become one of the most threats to security in countries.
