The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Baghdad has organized a course on the occupational safety procedures for introducing the employees and faculty members with the skills needed for protecting humans in general from injuries that may result from the risks of the work environment by preventing their exposure to occupational accidents and injuries, and also aimed to preserve facilities, devices or equipment. Also the lecturers wanted to reduce anxiety and panic that the workers may feel when using toxic materials and machines that threaten their lives or who work under unsafe conditions that expose their lives from time to time to serious dangers so as to ensure the provision of a safe environment for them.
