The research shed light on the efficiency of intercultural communication (ICC) measured in culturally diverse groups among participants, where the students are regularly faced with the fact that they largely understand the laws of the language. However they cannot always use the language as effectively as required because they lack sufficient knowledge of the target culture.

This research aimed to investigate the efficiency of intercultural communication among the Iraqi students who study English as a foreign language to determine the inability of the first-grade students to learn English through intercultural communication. The sample of this study is consisted of 30 students from the first grade at the Department of English Language during the academic year(2021-2022). The reliability of the instrument and the correctness of the concept were assessed using regression and correlation factor analyses.
