The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division has organized a training workshop entitled (Curriculum Delivery Models) that has hosted the Prof. Nasser Al-Sharif, the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Lebanese American University to discuss several topics, the most important of which are methods of designing curricula such as horizontal and vertical design, the basic contents of the curriculum, methods of presentation and evaluation of study materials.

The workshop aimed to introduce the role and opportunities of teaching staff in developing curricula in terms of content and presentation and raising the interaction between the basic components of the educational process. The workshop discussed the importance of curriculum development in the accreditation of pharmacy faculties, as the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Lebanese American University is the only college accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) outside the United States of America. It is noteworthy that Dr. Nasser Al-Sharif has a long experience in pharmaceutical education and modern teaching methods and is an international reviewer for the accreditation of pharmacy colleges in ACPE.
