The Department of English Language at the College of Education for Women, has organized a scientific symposium entitled “Motivational Teaching Methods”, with the participation of (14) professors from within the college and other Iraqi universities.
The symposium aimed to highlight the great and effective impact of teaching strategies and methods in motivating students and using modern strategies as a means to motivate students by discussing research papers that address related problems and realizing the great impact of motivational strategies in developing the teaching of English as a foreign language and encouraging graduate students to study motivational strategies in teaching English and identifying the theories of motivational methods, strategies and their relationship with other theories concerned with psychology and sociology, in addition to recommending adopting advanced teaching methods as an alternative to traditional ones.
