The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education for Humanities (Ibn Rushd) at the University of Baghdad has organized a scientific symposium entitled (Drug Addiction is the Road to Death) in which the president of the Scientific Council for Psychiatry in the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations, Prof. Dr. Nassif Jassim al-Hemiary gave lectures. He at first spoke about the seriousness of drug addiction, its causes, consequences and ways to address. The symposium tried to open up new prospects of knowledge about the danger of this scourge which has recently spread among the people at different age groups.
