The National Center for Population and Demographic Studies at the University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled “The Mechanism of Writing and Publishing Research in Scientific Journals” delivered by the lecturer from Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, in the central hall of the college, in the presence of the director of the center, Dr. Nasir Shamil Salman and a number of faculty members at the center. The workshop aimed to introduce researchers and academics to the mechanism of writing scientific research to be listed in international repositories and the most important basic points focused on by the editorial board consisting of the editor-in-chief, an expert editor and the scientific reviewers.
The workshop dealt with the most important factors that help in accepting research for publication and pointing out how to choose a sober journal based on the summary, title, subject matter and obstacles that determine global publishing in journals within the rules required by Scopus, indicating the most important reasons that lead to the rejection of researches. The workshop stressed the importance of taking care of the English language for academic purposes and the need to write integrated scientific content in the best way, devoid of errors as much as possible to be approved in the appropriate way.
