The Department of Physics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, has organized a lecture entitled “Study of thermal properties of materials using the DSC scanning differential analysis device” in the presence of a number of students, researchers and those concerned with the specialization. The lecture aimed to introduce the importance of thermal analysis techniques used in the study of changes in their condition and thermal transformations resulting from heat absorption and emission processes due to heating and cooling processes.

The lecture was delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Aseel Abdul Amir Karim, included identifying the differential survey analysis device for measuring calories by the DSC Calorimeter device, indicating the most important phenomena that cause changes in temperature and factors that affect the DSC thermal analysis technology towards giving the best results.
