The student Mustafa Alaa Abdul Hussein from the Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics, has won the first place in the University Chess Championship, and was honored by the dean of the college, Dr. Suhail Najim Abdullah in appreciation of his dedicated efforts in raising the name of the college high in such extra-curricular activities.
Also the Badminton team of the college won the first place through the student Yusuf Ali Hussein who competed with a player from the college of dentistry in the final match that was held on the courtyards of the college of physical education and sports sciences with a score of (11-2) and (11-1) for two consecutive games. These two students had been qualified for the final match after achieving a series of victories over their counterparts under the supervision of Dr. Iyad Ali Hussein, Dr. Maytham Saadi Ali and Mr. Abdul Karim Asaad Ali.
