The Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, has organized a workshop for graduates and students of the fourth grade, attended by the assistant dean for scientific affairs and postgraduate studies, Assist. Prof. Dr. Dhiaa Jassim Kazim, with a number of professors of the department. The workshop was headed by Prof. Dr. Amer Farouk Ezzat, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abbas Burhan and the leacturer Dr. Haider Amer Al-Baghdadi, with the aim to introduce students to the reality of the labor market in construction projects and how to obtain job opportunities after graduation.

The workshop dealt with many topics, the most prominent of which was the definition of modern tools, programs and technologies needed by the labor market, and the most prominent of these technologies is the Building Information Modeling (BIM) technique that is a process supported by various tools, technologies and contracts involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. Also the Primavera enterprise project portfolio management software, including project management, scheduling, risk analysis, opportunity management, resource management, collaboration and control capabilities, and integrates with other enterprise software such as Oracle and SAP’s ERP systems.
