Prof. Dr. Ammar Saleh Abbas, a lecturer at the department of chemical engineering at the University of Baghdad, was recently selected to be one of the best scholars in the world according to the data of the Stanford University Rankings – AD Scientific Index 2023, including the top 100 scientists worldwide, in the field of chemical engineering based upon their research that were published successively and their citations in global repositories during October 2022.
It is noteworthy that the AD Scientific Index is unlike other systems that provide evaluations of journals and universities, but it is a ranking and an analysis system based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists for the last five years according to their H-index and citations. Furthermore, it provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of affiliated scientists. Prof. Dr. Ammar Saleh Abbas won the third rank in the chemical engineering discipline with the participation of (128) researchers in all fields, the 10th rank locally after competition with 3012 researchers, the 2069 rank at the level of Asia after competing with 5274 rank at the global level out of 1102478 researchers.
