The Department of Philosophy at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop entitled (Applied Philosophy and its Impact on the Current Reality), in the presence of professors and faculty members. The research papers that were presented in this context shed light on the role played by applied philosophy in the current reality, bioethics, environmental philosophy, media ethics and many other applied areas of philosophy which have a prominent role at present. The workshop recommended the formation of a higher committee of philosophy professors to review the curriculum taught to students of the fifth preparatory stage in literary studies based upon applied philosophy, as well as the formation of a committee to review the curriculum of the department of philosophy at the college.
