The Political Systems Branch at the College of Political Sciences at the University of Baghdad, has participated in the scientific symposium sponsored by the Center for International and Strategic Studies entitled (Social Movement in Iraq and the Future of the Political Process).

During his speech at the onset of this event, the assistant dean of the college for scientific affairs, student and postgraduate studies, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Aziz al-Mayali, stressed the clear and direct impact of popular protests in the country on the political decision-making in Iraq, explaining that political forces and interested researchers specialized in the field of political science cannot ignore writing, research and holding seminars and activities on what is related to social mobility. The first session was presided over by the director of the center for international and strategic studies, Prof. Dr. Asad al-Rubaie, where he pointed out the need to highlight the issue of social mobility because these movements did not arise without a reason but are the result of accumulations of failures in job performance and government performance over successive governments.
