The Baghdad Documentation Department at the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage, in cooperation with the Iraq National Library and Archive of the Ministry of Culture held a symposium on the impact of the historical document on human civilizations, in the presence of a number of professors and researchers.

The seminar included many research papers that shed light on the analysis of political ideology in historical documents, historical documents in the Chaldean Patriarch archive, the historical dimensions of the newspaper of the boycott carried out by Quraish to Banu Hashim in order to study its importance in scientific research and the history of Iraq in addition to the reports of the British Embassy in the time of Nuri Said as a model. The lecturers also addressed the concept of the document in general between heritage and contemporaneity and stone documents in the ruins of Baghdad, i.e, the writings that adorn the buildings of Baghdad that can be divided into commemorative writings that are made on the bricks, some of which are conducted as in the façade of the Mustansiriyah School (Mustansiriyah Madrasah) and some of them are made on the stone like the construction of Al Aqoli Mosque and Al Sarai Mosque. Then they talked about many exterior and interior facades taken as examples of the Abbasid era, even the tombstones made by marble, wood or copper.
