Assist. Prof. Dr. Sama Mohammed Abdullah, a lecturer at the department of chemical engineering at the University of Baghdad, was recently selected to be one of the best scholars in the world according to the data of the Stanford University Rankings – AD Scientific Index 2023, including the top 100 scientists worldwide, in the field of chemical engineering based upon their research that were published successively and their citations in global repositories during October 2022.
It is noteworthy that the AD Scientific Index is unlike other systems that provide evaluations of journals and universities, but it is a ranking and an analysis system based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists for the last five years according to their H-index and citations. Furthermore, it provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of affiliated scientists. Dr. Sama was ranked in the 36th position at the level of the University of Baghdad, the 408th position locally, the 111953 in Asia and in the 565172 position globally according to the data of the Scopus database.
