The Department of Kindergarten, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Women, held the workshop entitled “Bruner’s Spiral Curriculum” delivered by the Assist. Prof. Dr. Anwar Fadel Abdul Wahab in the presence of a group of professors, staff and students.

The workshop aimed to ensure that the curriculum contains the main ideas and general rules and any topic can be presented to the child provided that it is presented to him in a way that takes into account the level of his intellectual development and the kindergarten child needs sensors and direct sensory experiences and the need to follow the method of spiral education. They concluded that spiral education is an important educational requirement in our time that replaces learning by deaf memorization and restrictive ways of thinking. Discovery-learning is defined as the reorganization or transformation of evidence. In this sense, it is a kind of thinking that occurs when an individual goes beyond the information given and reaches new perceptions or generalizations.
