The Biological Research Unit for Hot Areas, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, has organized a workshop entitled “Preparation of agricultural media and their types” with the participation of a number of students, researchers and those concerned with agricultural and biological affairs and those interested in this field. The workshop aimed to introduce graduate and primary students to the importance of agricultural media, their types and components and the purpose of their use, as well as methods of preparation and sterilization and the importance of the food suitable for the growth of the microorganism in the laboratory in a way that helps the researcher in isolating bacteria in a pure way and then multiplying them, as well as helping to describe the developing colonies.
