The Website Division at the presidency of the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop entitled (The digital repository of the University of Baghdad and the role of scientific journals in its management), in the presence of journal editorial boards and admins of journal websites.
The workshop was presided over by the director of Website Division the Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Jaffar al-Shamaa who has discussed the role of university journals in the dissemination of scientific research in various disciplines that are in turn to be referred to in the digital repository and how to updating data, correcting errors that appear in some researches, as well as providing researchers with a unified platform that displays all the scientific outputs of the university. Then he pointed out that the launch of such a digital repository represents an important step towards achieving a qualitative leap from the local to the global scope, adding that all research papers can be downloaded and printed fully that may increase the citations of Iraqi scholars in the Scopus database.
