Assist. Prof. Iman Adel Jaafar, a lecturer from the Department of English Language at the College of Education for Women has participated in the fourth conference of the Faculty of Arts that was held in Al-Isra’a University College under the slogan “Language is a dynamic means of cultural change”. She has presented a research paper entitled “Investigating the roles and opinions on the crisis of climate change: a written linguistic study”.
The conference witnessed the participation and sponsorship of a number of English language departments at the colleges of arts at the University of Baghdad, Al-Isra’a University College, IWHS Platform for Iraqi Academies and Innovators, Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Wasit, the American University and the UNESCO/Iraq Branch. The research aims to highlight the importance and how to study the language of climate change and the roles that affect climate with the use of one of the tools of linguistic blogs. The research addressed the importance of introducing learners to the use of technology and computer in linguistic studies, as the study showed that the investigation of verbal and key syndromes using a computer saves effort and time and reveals linguistic features scientifically and accurately. At the conclusion of this event, Prof. Iman Adel received a letter of thanks and appreciation for her distinguished contribution in the conference.
