Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Hashim al-Khatib, the dean of the college of pharmacy has received the great Iraqi historian Prof. Dr. Ali al-Nashmi, accompanied by his assistant for administrative affairs Prof. Dr. Shihab Hattab Mutlaq and the official of the Media and Public Relations Unit at the college.

During the meeting, many matters related to the history of pharmacy through ancient times were discussed and coordinated to hold a series of educational seminars for intellectual enrichment on the history of pharmacy and the role of the ancient Mesopotamian people in this regard as well as to identify the origin of symbols and the most prominent figures related to pharmacy, in addition to refuting a number of misinformation transmitted through the ages since they are not attributed to confirmed sources. In conclusion, the dean thanked and highly appreciated Dr. Ali al-Nashmi for this generous visit in the hope of benefiting from such a scientific figure in identifying the intellectual product of Iraq in civilizations.
