The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad has recently organized a scientific symposium entitled (The phenomenon of addiction among young people) that was delivered by the two lecturers, Prof. Dr. Zainab Abdul Jabbar and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sahar Hashim. They aimed at raising awareness among the students and parents in this issue, finding solutions for the phenomenon of addiction, whether smoking or drugs, knowing its symptoms and effects on the addicted and the community in general.
