The council of the University of Baghdad held its regular weekly session to discuss a number of administrative and scientific issues, under the chairmanship of the rector, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi.

The members of the university’s council discussed the fulfillment of all requirements for the entry of the university’s academic journals in the international repositories, in addition to the recommendation to approve the development of a master’s study at the college of arts in the field of cuneiform archaeology, as well as the launch of the digital repository of the University of Baghdad in its initial stage according to what is applied in international universities, where the first phase included the publication of 27462 research papers issued by our university’s journals, while the second phase under way would include all research published in international journals, as well as hosting undergraduate students. It is noteworthy that the rector also instructed the deans of faculties to commitment to the study schedule, follow-up the student performance and stressing the need to complete the data related to professors in the Human Resources System (HR).
