The Dean of the College of Science at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim al-Qazzaz, has honored a professor from the Department of Biology, Assist. Prof. Dr. Marwa Hameed Mutasher al-Khafaji and the master’s student specializing in microbiology Mohammed Ahmed Ali, for their scientific achievement in obtaining a patent that is approved by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) concerning a laboratory glass decanter model which is the first of its kind in the field of laboratory researches. This laboratory glass decanter model is resistant to high heat and has a base with a width of fifty-five (cm), a height of 145 (mm) and a diameter of its nozzle of 33 (mm). This device is different from other models available in commercial offices since it is consisting of a high-temperature resistant glass mask with a length of 110 (mm) with an angle of 91 (mm).
