Prof. Dr. Ghada Mussa al-Salaq has participated in the seventeenth Docomomo International Conference, held at the Valencia Polytechnic University in Spain with a research paper entitled (Modern Design: Social Commitment and Quality of Life). During her speech, she gave explanations about modern architecture in Iraq, its origins, the most important buildings and the need to preserve them, as they represent symbols of an important era of Iraqi architecture that painted Iraqi cities with a distinctive characteristic. It is noteworthy that Dr.Ghada al-Salaq holds the position of the Iraqi chair in Docomomo International where this organization has submitted an important file on five Iraqi buildings distinguished with their modernist qualities along with a number of researches conducted by its members regularly.
